Winter Maternity | Southern IL Maternity Photographer – 10 years after being pregnant with my first child, I’m expecting again! My daughters and I are SO excited to be expecting a baby boy to join our family this April!! After 8 years of photographing other mommas to be, I can’t believe it’s my turn 🙂 With my two daughters, I never had professional maternity photos taken, and I really wanted to. I was always put on bed rest early on, so I’m taking full advantage of maternity photos this time!!

I often get asked who takes my family photos……well, it’s still me, haha! Admittedly, I am not good at planning out my photos; most shoots are set up the day of. Last year, I began teaching my then 8 year old daughter how to use my camera, as nerve-wracking as that is at times when I think about how much money she’s holding in her hands and walking around with. So, I enlisted her help in taking my maternity photos. She does an AMAZING job nailing the focus and the composition of the photo. I still do the planning and editing (she’s been asking to be taught), but I’m so proud of her. Of course, now shes’s asking me why my watermark is on the photos and wants her own FB business page and Instagram haha! I’m so excited to see her grow in photography, and I’m so excited to be welcoming another dearly loved child to our family <3
