Southern IL Maternity Photographer | It is amazing when you have the ability to not only photograph a couple’s wedding day, but to also photograph their first maternity + newborn photos (coming soon!). These two have been together for years, and you can tell there is so much love between them! They will be welcoming their firstborn, a son, and I’m sure he will be included in their many fishing + hunting trips for years to come! We actually had pretty good weather for their session, even though it was winter. And, as you can see, you can still have beautiful outdoor portraits during these months 🙂 I love how the earthy tones in their clothing match the woodsy background I chose for their session. I think they complement each other very well. Of course, I have my clients send me pictures of their outfits beforehand, so that I can make sure everything will look great together. Southern IL Senior Photographer | Meet Jada! I was so excited to photograph her session! Jada is incredibly sweet, friendly, fashionable and photogenic. Her session began at the salon, where she received professional hair + makeup application, thanks to the amazingly talented Abie Shelton of The Hair Garage in Flora. Once she was done with her pampering, we set out to start her session in an urban setting. Her layered Fall look really matched well with the brick. Before our sessions, I always have my clients send me pictures of their outfit, so that I can make sure I choose locations that complement their wardrobe. It’s my job to make sure that the entire session is seamless and planned out, so that we have a game plan to work off of. I never go into a session with the idea that I’ll just wing it. My work starts from the moment you book your session, and it is my goal to give every client the vision that they’re after. Jada also wanted Fall colors with her session (always a VERY popular time of year for senior photography), so we headed out to a local park to capture those for her. Not only did she bring fantastic layered Fall outfits, but she brought along her own gun + camo. I love when my clients bring along something that captures their own, unique personality! Champaign IL Family Photographer | I had the pleasure of photographing this amazingly sweet, gorgeous family this past Fall, and it was such a great session! We met at one of my new favorite locations – a local state park. I love shooting there, because I can get so many different looks in one area. Plus, it’s absolutely gorgeous there! And, my clients enjoy meeting there once they see it, and they all love driving around it. I first met the mom at a wedding I photographed this past June at St. Stephen’s On the Hill (gorgeous wedding!!). She was the maid of honor, and I was so excited when she booked a family session with me! Her daughter is so adorable, and has the most beautiful smile 🙂 We spent time taking photos of all three of them, as well as mom + daughter, dad + daughter, mom + dad, and pictures of just their daughter by herself. During family sessions, I like to get all of the different combinations that I can, so that my clients have a variety of images to choose from. I also like to work with my clients in finding the specific look or background that they’re after. The Shull family wanted Fall colors and a beautiful, wooded background. Champaign IL Maternity Photographer | We had the most beautiful day for Sarah’s maternity session! We met at a state park for her session, and went around to different areas. She had told me she wanted an earthy feel to her session, and I feel like we worked really well together in getting pictures that matched her vision. Of course, I was absolutely in love with the maternity gown she chose for her session. If you’re looking for one, hers is from Sew Trendy, and I highly recommend buying from them! Sarah has to be one of the most beautiful women I’ve photographed, and she really does have that ‘pregnancy glow’! She was up for any ideas I had, and was so amazing to work with. Carbondale IL Senior Photographer – Madilyn and I had a blast photographing her senior session!! She opted for a Timeless session, in which she also received the benefits of professional hair + makeup prior to her time with me. While my senior is getting pampered in the salon, I love talking with them and their parent(s). This is when I really get to know my clients and form that working client relationship that is so important to me. It’s important for me to understand who my clients are as individuals, in order to get them pictures that best fit their personality and needs. Madilyn is a fun girl who can not only dress up in a girly fashion, but can also rock boots and jeans with her hunting gear. We had a lot of laughs and fun throughout her session, and we even took a trip to Dairy Queen at the end of our time together 🙂
