Burton-Austin Wedding | Mt Vernon IL Wedding Photographer
We had a big, beautiful, blue sky, a soft, warm breeze and a lot of sunshine for Shane + Autumn’s big day. September 27th was a beautiful day in so many ways. Autumn was absolutely radiant in her beautiful, lace gown. Shane was as handsome as ever in his suit. Surrounded by loved ones, the two of them said their “I do’s” in the Sugar Camp Missionary Baptist Church, about a mile from the bride’s parent’s home. The church was elegantly decorated, and guests were invited to sign their names on an “Up”-themed piece of art. I thought that was such a fun, unique idea!
During their first look in the sanctuary, before the ceremony, the two of them were able to soak in a few moments with just the two of them. The ceremony was filled with love, tears, laughter and of course, a beautiful first kiss as husband and wife! As they exited the church, Shane + Autumn were greeted with showers of bird seed…..afterwards, they laughed with each other while picking it out of each other’s hair! At the reception, there was face painting + balloon animals for the younger guests, an apple dessert table, ice cream, jars of apple butter in all varieties of different flavors, cupcakes, and loads of homemade pies! It was a spectacular rustic wedding reception venue, and the decor was amazing! The evening brought heartfelt toasts, sweet first dances, joyful bouquet/garter tosses, dancing + even some karaoke! Everyone had an amazing time, and the atmosphere was filled with so much love the entire day.
Thank you so very much Autumn + Shane! You two are so wonderful, and I appreciate the opportunity you gave me in photographing your wedding day. The way you two look at each other….it’s inspiring. The love that the two of you have for each other just radiates and you two were glowing the entire day. Capturing your wedding day was a real joy for me, and working with you two was a wonderful experience. Thank you!!
